I’d opt for the ocean front rooms - they are worth it. Atelier Playa Mujeres is a new luxury adults-only resort located on the beach north of Cancun. Iberostar Gran Paraiso is a good selection. It’s a bummer they don’t have the outdoor theater like the Excellence resorts.

The rooms don’t have balconies but they do have massive 2 person tubs. They also have the best beach between them all. Le Blanc is another great resort and the food is better than Excellence/Beloved. 4 outdoor pools provide fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, body wraps, and hydrotherapy. The entertainment is much less flashy - mostly music groups in the outdoor lounge (no Michael Jackson, etc.) Beloved has an amazing taco cart open at lunch - we ate there almost every day - and if you stay for a week you can go to EPM one night for dinner and entertainment. Putting you within 3 mi (4.8 km) from Playa Mujeres Golf Club, Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres - Adults Only - All Inclusive offers a private beach where you can enjoy cabanas, volleyball, and beachside drinks. Fewer restaurants but the restaurants have larger menus so it’s easy to eat at them 2-3 times in a week. Same restaurants and most of the entertainment is the same.īeloved is like a mini ERC/EPM but quieter and couples only. They have the club restaurant that ERC is currently building. They don’t have as nice of a club pool but the beach is better.
